It's OK To Be Human

Right now, you are experiencing stress on a level unlike anything else you've ever experienced. Regardless of what else has happened in your life that was stressful, the situation you are currently experiencing has never happened before - ever. There is no manual for how to behave during a global pandemic. There are only ideas as to how to navigate through this and the ideas coming forth are a representation of the inner truth of the person presenting them.


It's OK if you don't agree with them.

It's OK if those ideas make you angry.

It's OK if you are frustrated.

It's OK if you are feeling scared.

It's OK if you can't recognize what you are feeling.

It's OK if you are so scared, you're not sure how to move forward.

It's OK if the thought of going to work sends you into a panic attack, because you know how to get yourself out of it. BREATHE.

It's OK to question what is going on.

It's OK now, and it will OK later today and tomorrow and the next day.

It's OK if you are feeling sad because you are being kept from your family - which is your only support system.

It's OK if you are feeling grateful that you are allowed to stay home because you're so exhausted from being over-stressed, that you didn't know how you were going to manage one more day.

It's OK to have a positive feeling one minute, then a negative one the next.


It's OK to have feelings because that is precisely what makes you human. Your feelings are your personal navigation system and it's important to your overall health and well-being that you listen to them.


Over the past several weeks, many people have taken the position of 'making lemonade out of lemons'. They are highly critical of anyone who isn't on the train of blind acceptance, so they attack in the way that works best for them. Some attacks are disguised as helpful advice and some attacks are outright malicious.


This dissension adds to the divisiveness that was already prevalent in our society, which adds to the stress of the current situation. It's pouring gasoline on the already hot fire.


The mind's process's (or the ego's) desire to be right - to have the right answer - to do the right thing - to be superior to others - to take the high ground - is a reflection of how disconnected to the Divine that most people are. After all, we have been living in the age of scientism for so long - praying to the gods of science - that we've forgotten that the Divine is literally thousands of years older and much wiser than any scientific theory - proven or not.


Science has it's place - there's no doubt about that. Science is the first place I go to for answers when I don't understand what is going on - but we must remember there are numerous branches of science and no one can be on more than one branch at a time.


There is never only one solution to anything. There are always multiple ways to navigate to the answer that makes the most sense to you, and your navigation system is based on your feelings.


We can't see through anyone else's eyes because our mind's process can only reference the Mind Files in our own cabinets. The willingness to consider other opinions is itself a mind file that is stored somewhere in the filing cabinets of your mind. It's up to you to locate it and consciously remind your mind's process that the only way to move forward if you're feeling stuck is to find an alternate path, and finding an alternate path usually means considering an alternate opinion.


Seek your own truth. Look within, and if you need guidance, find the mental health worker that makes the most sense to you and reach out for help. Everyone needs a little help now and then. There's no shame in that.
